How to play traditional bingo
Charity Bingo is the bingo you already know, with a purpose. Here's how a game goes:
- Receive your cards. Each game starts with 4 random bingo cards.
- Ball selection. A random ball is called about every 8 seconds. Everyone hears the same call at the same time.
- Mark your cards. Click to daub numbers on your cards as they're called. The center space is a freebie.
- Call bingo! Get 5 marked spaces in a row (across, down or diagonally) and click the big BINGO banner at the top to win.
After the first bingo
- 15-second claim period. Other players have 15 seconds to claim their own bingo.
- The pot. The pot is made of Bingo Points and is split among the winners. Points aren't cash: they decide which charities benefit from our advertising revenue. Donate them yourself any time, or let them go to your chosen charity at the end of the month. See the Charities page for the running totals.
- Each game is followed by a 30-second intermission, then the next one starts.
About the beta
Beta note: During the beta period there may be no advertising, and without advertising there is no revenue to donate. Once we integrate advertising, Bingo Points will result in real donations. Until then, you are helping us test the donation system.
Charity Bingo is in beta. Okachobi, LLC covers all operating costs so you can play for free. Expect new bingo variations as we grow. For now, enjoy traditional bingo and help us find the rough edges: admin@okachobi.com.
